The present Potoo has odd eyes used to reflect light because it's a nocturnal animal. The Potoo has feathers that look like bark and tree branches that helps it blend in with its unique environment. The Potoo's main diet includes beetles, termites and moths. The Potoo is found in Mexico and Argentina.
In the future, the mixed Potoo will live in a mixed woodland due to climate change. The mixed Potoo has the same eyes as the Potoo but it has more aerodynamic wings for flying farther distances between trees. The mixed Potoo has a fur print on the back of its head to make it look like it is looking at their predators even though they have fewer predators because there will be fewer monkeys in the area. The Potoos prey options expanded because there will be less monkeys and other animals to eat the bugs.
