The Scarlet Macaw

My animal is a scarlet macaw. It is colorful and it uses its colors to distract other predators. It currently lives in an inland tropical rainforest. There are many trees, and it has big wings and short legs because it flies from tree to tree. Climate change will cause the environment to change to a savanna. The scarlet macaw will have to change its coloring to tans and browns so that it blends into the grasses. It will get smaller to be able to hide from predators because there aren’t as many trees. It will lose some of its feathers because it will not be able to fly as well between trees. It will need longer legs to walk and to run more.
