The animal I'm working with is the Orangutan. The Orangutan has many adaptations to help it survive and thrive in the wild. These adaptations include making tools, heavy coats of fur, and large mussels to help them climb trees. The Orangutan's habitat is a rainforest. The problem Orangutans are facing is deforestation. Deforestation is responsible for cutting down trees and overall destroying the Orangutan's natural way of life. If we keep Deforesting the land in which these animals dwell they soon will have no more trees and will be forced to live on the ground. When the trees are gone their natural protection also leaves them. They become susceptible to the sun which will change their fur colors and they will be exposed to predators. The absence of trees will force them to make homes on the ground which won't protect them as well if at all. Deforestation must go.
