Jaguars have many adaptations that allow them to survive in the Amazon Rainforest. They have large paws, which help them swim and climb easily. They have an eye adaptation that allows them to mirror light back into their retinas, giving them amazing night vision. Their coat provides them with excellent camouflage. Jaguars live in the Amazon rainforest and the Pantal rainforest. They often live in tropical lowlands preferably close to water. Due to climate change rainforests will turn into a wetland because water levels have already risen a lot in the past years so it will rise even more and rainforests will be all water. So a jaguar will have to change its adaptations so it can survive. It will get gills so it can breathe underwater. It also will get even stronger paws so it can climb really high trees. Lastly it will webbed feet so it can swim.
