It now survives in the heavy, moist rainforests of Southeast Asia, camouflaged in thick underbrush. The animal would depend on stealth and muscular hunting for hunting. With a thick canopy and heavy rainfall, the cover is great, hence making it a perfect habitat for this apex predator. Still, the thickness of the forest might be a little problematic as environmental changes unfold. In a couple of millennia, the rainforest could get degraded into mixed woodlands or savannas due to rising temperatures and sea levels. The fur of the tiger may lighten to adapt to the generally warmer temperature and with improvements in camouflage to blend with more opened spaces. Its hunting may shift to some more rapid agility-requiring pursuits adapted to less densely vegetated terrain.
