The Emperor Tamarin lives in the Amazon rainforest. They live in trees and move from branch to branch freely. The Emperor Tamarins diet includes many fruits and vegetables. Emperor Tamarins are very common in the southern part of the amazon but there are some in the central part of the amazon. A prominent feature is the elongated mustache. Emperor tamarins live in groups of two to as many as 15 animals Due to the deforestation over time, the Emperor Tamarin could definitely be endangered. The specials could have to maybe burrow underground and have to start eating insects. Perhaps the Emperor Tamarin could grow larger claws and lose its tail for moving faster underground. Also maybe the animal would have to shrink in size due to having to live underground. These changes would help the Emperor tamarin survive and thrive due to deforestation.
