The Tayra, Present vs. Future

The Tayra is a rain forest animal also known as the mini honey badger. They are having their habitat threatened by climate change and habitat loss. The rain forest is a very moist and dense habitat and due to climate change and habitat loss it will eventually become a savanna which is dry and sandy. The Tayra's adaptations to its current environment include short legs, thick fur, and black and gray fur. But when its environment changes so will its adaptations turning into having brown fur to blend in with the sand, then long nails to dig into the ground, and finally thin fur to stay cool in the hot sun.
