The tropical bird Cock on the Rock helps plants by eating fruits, digesting seeds whole, and planting them in the ground with their feces. This bird has an orange body and a black belly and lives in the Amazon rainforest which is full of trees where this bird spends most of its day. By the year 3000 the ground of the Amazon rainforest will be an underwater wetland as the ocean levels will continue to rise as ice caps melt. The animals that are there will continue to live in the trees, but will have to adapt to the environment by being able to digest the seeds of the fruit they eat. If they do that they will survive because they can fly and they eat fruit. The seeds they digest will provide them with extra nutrients. With these changes, they can survive the next iteration of the Amazon rainforest.
