The Amazonian Tapirs are creatures that live in the Amazon Rainforest. They have big bodies and glossy fur. Their habitats are wetlands, forests, or savanna’s, but the Amazon Rainforest is becoming deforested, warmer, and not an easy living environment for the tapirs. They have had low reproductive rates and habitat loss due to deforestation. The increase in temperature could stress the trees and make them get pests and disease. Due to the forest's already hot temperatures the forest getting hotter would not help and could even lead to rapid wildfires and kill a lot of animals living in the Amazon. This would shrink the tapir’s habitat and kill many of them. Due to the loss of many of them they would be weak and easily hunted. The change in the climate would make them skinnier because of their food burning, fur would look ragged, and overall more worn down.
