Black Howler Monkeys live in South America’s rainforests. These rain forests are also known as broadleaf rainforests because of their big leaves. Although parts of the rainforest only get about 200 inches of rain each year it’s not enough for all the animals in the rainforest to survive. The rainforests in danger in many different ways, one being that there isn’t enough fall for the animals to survive on. One change is the monkey having less fur. This is because if there is less water they are going to overheat. They still have fur but not as much. Another change is in the tail. The tail became bigger because they are going to only live in the trees and not in the trees and on the ground. This is because there are not berries for them on the ground and only in the trees.
