Sloths live in trees in the Amazon Rainforest. They slowly go from branch to branch so they do not get seen. Sloths are a partially endangered species. They can weigh up to 8.8 lb and 23 in. high. In fact, there are three types of three-toed sloths. The maned, pale throated, and brown-throated sloths mostly all live for up to 30 years. In tens of thousands of years the Amazon Rainforest will be flooded and all the trees will fall down. Since sloths live in trees they will have to grow webbed toes so that they can swim fast despite being slow on land. They will also have a large lung capacity so that they can swim for a longer time. Instead of leaves, sloths will eat sea kelp and seaweed. They will also live off of small fish like minnows, fry, sprats, pilchards, guppies, and spineceps, for example.
