Sloths are found in Central and South America. They spend most of their time in trees. They can grow up to 2-2.5 ft long and weigh 8-17 pounds. They have roundish heads, sad looking eyes, tiny ears, and stubby tails. They can camouflage with trees because of their fur color and scent. They eat leaves, twigs, and buds as their diet.
In the future, a sloth’s habitat will change into a savanna. In order for it to survive it needs to adapt. They could live in underground burrows and grow sharp, shovel-like claws to dig their home. Sloths will increase their metabolic rate so they are not slow and can run faster from predators. Their fur can change into a blond color so they can camouflage and shrink their size so they are harder to spot from plants. Their diet will change to meat, grass, and twigs.
