My poison dart frog transferred into a Poison Spiked Frog. The frog was forced to transfer overtime due to rain forest becoming savannas overtime. The adaptions that the frog develop were stronger and longer legs allowing for movement across large areas of land. The development of rougher, thicker, and more moist skin is essential because the rough and thick skin helps prevent damage from sand storms and gritty conditions. The reason for extra moisture is because of the lack of humidity in the atmosphere and environment that frogs need to maintain their slime coat. Moving on, the lack of bright colors is due to the need for camouflage because there is a chance in the future that predators develop natural resistance to the poison of the frog. The camouflage also ties in with the spikes because the mix of spikes and remaining poison would still act as an effective deterrent.
