The emperor tamarin is a diminutive monkey that comes from the south west of South America. They come from places such as Amazon Basin, Peru, Brazil, and Bolivia. They live in the lower of middle parts of the rain forest. The emperor Tamarin is well known for having a “mustache” or enlarged whiskers, however these creatures normally have red or arrange tails and their bodies are commonly brown or dark gray. The biggest threat to emperor tamarin's are deforestation. These animals rely on eating tree saps and they spend most of their time in trees. Without trees these animals will have to adapt. I think they will evolve with shorter claws for running on the ground. They will most likely get even smaller to hide from predators. Emperor Tamarin will also have to change the diet since they will be unable to eat tree saps, such as fish, or bugs.
