The macaw, a parrot species in this project will undergo a series of evolution over a period of 10,000 years. In response to habitat loss and climate change the macaws may grow a wider wingspan, sharper beaks, and loss of color that was used to help them camouflage in the rainforest. They will use their beaks to explore new food sources as their normal diet may change over the years. They may even learn to thrive within human society as urbanization still continues to expand human settlements.
