Burgeoning from South America's tropical wetlands, hidden among the overgrowth. The scarlet Ibis resides. Its fiery feathers, creating contrast from the balmy waters. This vibrant hue is thanks to shellfish swimming in the lagoon. As sea levels reside and these shellfish are harder to come by. The Ibis will migrate up the coast. Its new diet will consist of frogs, insects and worms. Its vibrant shades, reduced to a peachy grey. The ibises beak will take on a longer sharper form in order to reach worms underground, and stab frogs. The once frail towering legs, shortened and strengthened in order to easily traverse the coastal plains. The future scarlet ibis is a jack of all trades coastal plains land bird, serving as a fast moving bird eating bugs and amphibians.
