Okapi are closely related to giraffes, and so they have horns like giraffes. They also have long tongues to help them strip leaves from trees and bushes. They also have large ears that help them sense predators. The Okapi live in Central Africa, and right now their environment is going through a change. They are going to start having really long and bad droughts. Their adaptations to help keep them safe are, extra teeth, that are sharp to help with food. They are herbivores right now, but that is going to have to change, so they are now omnivores. Also changed their hair, so that when it gets hot they dont over heat. They have also adapted, and now have a beak type of mouth to help kill their prey. Lastly, they have poison in their scent glands to help them stay safe from danger.
