My adaptations make it so that civet’s have a long tail to grab onto branches. They have long, thick, sharp claws that help them catch prey, attack predators, and dig tunnels and burrows. The civet is a nocturnal animal so it hunts at night. It has small, soft paws that help them move quickly and undetected. The civet also has sharp, dull teeth to eat meat, plants, nuts, and seeds. Their teeth are sharp so they can rip and tear flesh. Their teeth are thick and strong so they can eat seeds and crack open hard nuts. Finally the civet has tall wide ears that help them sense prey through air vibrations, and help them sense danger and when to hide from threats and predators.
