Toco toucans live in South America in the rainforest. They have bright, long beaks, due to their diet, so they can reach the fruit on the trees. They have smaller eyes for protection, a smaller wing span only to travel short distances, and their feet have two toes in the front and one in the back to provide stability while moving through the branches. Over thousands of years the rainforest will become a savanna due to a rise in temperature, which will cause lightning fires due to drought. Toucans will have to eat different insects and rodents to survive since most of the trees will be burned down. Through Evolution they will develop different adaptations such as a larger wingspan to fly longer distances, sharper/ bigger eyes to find prey easier, dull colored beaks that are shorter and more curved, and flat feet since they will be on land more.
