Climates are rapidly changing and one of the ecosystems most impacted by climate change is our rain forests. Energy Education states, “Future changes to rainforests are expected to include the conversion of forests to grasslands as trees adapt to their new changing climate.” All 427 species of mammals will have to adapt to climate change. One of these mammals is Leopards. Leopards have a pattern to help camouflage in their environment. When their environment changes their camouflage will change too. The Leopard's fur will change from its current camouflage to a yellowish color. Leopard bodies are built for climbing and swimming. This helped them in the rainforest but in grasslands, climbing and swimming won't do them any good. The Leopard's strong and stocky body will become more slender and adapted for running and catching prey. These are the changes I think that Leopards will go through due to climate change.
