The Jackson's chameleon lives in the Congo rainforest. The Congo rainforest is drying up and becoming very dry due to climate change. The adaptations help the chameleon to survive within its environment. The chameleon now has longer front horns to attack or defend against predators. The mouth is now smaller for the insects and bugs it will prey on. It also has thicker skin for protection and a more pointed back for the same reason. The chameleon is now skinnier due to the lack of food it has access to.
