The Southern Cassowary is a species that lives in open forests in Australia. This animal will go through multiple changes due to drought, deforestation, fires.... Their size will decrease to require less energy due to the decay of the vegetation that they would eat. For the same reason, it will lose its casque and the quills on the wings will get smaller. However, the wings themselves will start to grow and be useful. About defending territory and attacking predators, their feathers will turn brown to make camouflage easier as well as their head colors won't be as bright and they will have longer legs with sharper claws. As climate change will make their habitats hotter, their eyes will adapt to darkness to reduce their time in the daylight. To be able to eat without difficulties, beaks will also be sharper as most of the vegetation will be on ground level.
