Today, the Treetou, a toucan-like bird, lives in the tropical rainforest with tall trees and green plants. It has a large, colorful beak for eating fruit and finding a mate. Its bright feathers help it stand out among the leaves and attract attention. The Treetou’s strong claws help it grip branches as it moves through the trees.
Thousands of years from now, the rainforest may dry up and become a savanna with fewer trees and more grass. To survive, the Treetou will change and become the Landtou. Its beak may get smaller to save energy, and its feathers could turn brown to blend into the dry land. With fewer trees, it may grow longer legs to walk and search for food on the ground.
These changes will help the Landtou survive in a hotter, drier world with new challenges. This shows how Treetous evolve over time to adapt!
