The Giant Sloth is an amazon rainforest vertebrae that uses it long arms and claws to swing from tree to tree. Algae grows on the sloths fur that helps it camouflage in the trees that it swings in . In its natural habitat, the sloth is nocturnal which means that it would only come out during the day time. In thousands of years, deforestation will cause the sloth to adapt to a new environment. The giant sloth will now have only powerlines to hang from, along with having to become more active during the hours of the day. Though some of the adaptations might not have much of an effect on them, the sloths new way of hanging on the powerlines will become very harmful to them. After a while, the giant sloth will become extinct, because of the way the new environment affected them
