My tropical rainforest vertebrate is the Blue and Yellow Macaw (Ara ararauna). The Blue and Yellow Macaw lives in the Amazon rainforest, but as climate change progresses the once luscious rainforest will adapt to a savanna. This drastic change in habitat is because of lack of rain which is caused by the increased amount of heat carbon admissions produce (climate change). With less rain the long amazon giants that once provided the Blue and Yellow Macaw shelter and protection with their long height that many predators could not reach. This has caused my future creature the Sandy Grassland Macaw to live in aardvarks dens. After thousands of years of not needing to fly the Sandy Grassland Macaw has shorter wings which are unable to fly as a result of them living on ground level. In conclusion the Sandy Grassland Macaw will develop adaptations to survive in the dry Amazon savanna.
