At the moment the Lesser Antillean Iguana lives in the rainforest. The rainforest is called a rainforest, because it can generate its own rain through its canopy. The Iguana has a long tail to help it easily traverse the tree canopy. The Current Iguana moves through the trees to avoid predators. If humans keep putting more carbon dioxide into the atmosphere the rainforest could turn into a dry savanna. The Iguana would need to defend themselves from predators. To do this Iguanas would adapt to have longer claws and more powerful jaws. The Iguana will not be able to fight off all of its predators of course, so it will also need faster hind legs to run from creatures like lions. In the rainforest Iguanas ate bugs and small creatures. In the savanna they will use their faster legs to catch animals like Meerkats and Prairie Dogs.
