Capybaras live around lakes, rivers, and swamps in South America. Even though parts of South America get excess of 100 inches a year climate change could change that if we don't stop it. If this happens, the few capybaras living in Asia and Australia will reproduce more capybaras and slowly adapt to the new climate. Their new climate will be full of shrubs and little to no trees. They will grow sharp claws to help them burrow into the dirt to avoid the heat. They will eat more nutritious food like frogs and insects because their teeth will grow. They will also create a divert scent to scare off predators. They will grow darker hair coats to blend in with the brush around them. In conclusion, brushlands are the best place for capybaras because they will adapt to the things they need.
