My present creature is the Bornean Orangutan. They currently live in rainforests. They spend pretty much all of their time in the canopy of trees, usually by themselves, unless they are babies. They have long arms to swing to and from trees. They usually eat fruits such as mangoes, figs, and lychee. Their primary water sources are water holes in trees. They have long, red, orange fur, which helps them blend in with the canopy and red leaves. They have big throat pouches to echo their calls through the canopy.
In the future, they will become Woodland Orangutans. The rainforest they live in would become a woodland, forcing them to adapt. They would develop browner hair, to blend in with the trees. They would also develop longer legs, to help them walk better. Their diet would become carnivorous, and they would begin to eat critters such as squirrels.
