The red panda lives in tropical rainforests confined to the humid foothills of the Himalayas. They have adapted physically, behaviorally, and physiologically. Right now, the red panda has adaptations such as long tails for balance, claws for climbing, red fur for camouflaging among fir trees that have reddish moss, whiskers to navigate their environment at night, and white markings for their mothers to be able to identify them at night. When it comes time for the red pandas to adapt to a new climate, they will need new adaptations to survive. These will include longer claws to dig underground, large ears to dissipate heat, change the color of their camouflage to a dirt-like color, nocturnal behavior so they won't get eaten, and to escape the heat, and living in herds for protection. They will have to eat different foods such as wild melon, and seeds of the Baobab.
