White- Tailed Deers are majestic animals, they are found living in rainforests and bushier lands with lots of plants. Their coats change with the seasons. In the summer their fur is reddish brown and in the winter it turns lighter brown to help them blend in with their surroundings. They have sharp eyesight, excellent hearing, are strong swimmers, and their large ears detect distant sounds to help them escape predators. White-Tailed Deer are very fast runners and can reach speeds of up to 30 miles per hour.
If deforestation continues to destroy their habitat, the deer may struggle to hide from predators in trees. To adapt the deer, their fur will be a dark brown to match the trees and plants around them. Additionally, they will have thicker legs to run faster. Finally, the deer will have longer necks allowing them to stay alert while living in their changing habitat.
