My animal is the blue poison dart frog “azureus”. Presently, they live in rainforests and abide in the leaf litter and understory. They eat ants and other small bugs. They have bright blue coloring which warns predators of their toxicity and poison and it protects them from being eaten. The frog’s sticky feet are used for clinging on to vegetation, and their long tongues help them catch their food easily.
In the future, they will be called the “swimming frog,” and will abide mostly in water. Because the rainforest will change into a savannah, water will fade away, so the frog will live in the water so they can lay their eggs and function. They'll develop stronger legs, keep their tail stub, and gain webbed feet and large gills so they can swim longer distances. They’ll gain camouflage skin to blend into the murky waters.
