In the present day, Scarlet Macaws live in the canopy and emergent layers of the rainforest. They have a sleek body, their wings flap in shorter strokes, and a long tail to help them balance during flight. Scarlet Macaws have bright, bold, flashy colors to trick their predators with disruptive coloration. It spends it time flying as its form of locomotion. Scarlets Macaws eat plants, nuts and seeds, and protein from insects. In the future, there will be more wildfires from temperature changes and deforestation. This will cause their feathers to change into tans/browns and greens to blend into trees. For locomotion they will adapt to be more like a robin, hopping around on the ground. Since they change the way they move, their tail will have to be shorter. Their method of foraging will use a larger beak with a sharper hook to eat more insects and rodents.
