The Green Anaconda is a green snake with greenish yellow spots and some black to help it blend in. It also squeezes its prey to death such as deer, capybara, caimans and large birds. They detach their jaws to eat larger prey. Their eyes and nose are located on top of their head to see when in water. Green anacondas generally live in tropical rainforests and tend to prefer shallow, slow-moving waters, such as streams, rivers and flooded grasslands. They spend most of their time in water but are also found on land. But, in millions of years, research shows that rain forests will change to savannas and shrublands due to climate change. When in the savanna, the green anaconda will probably have developed a way to conserve water through their scales. They will also probably have a way to burrow underground to keep cool.
