Present Sloths are slow moving animals. They are found in many rainforests in Central and South America. They survive on low diet leaves. They have long fur with algae which helps them to blend in with the forest. They flourish in wet environments. They have strong and long claws that they use to grip on branches. Sloths will need to adapt to survive.
In the future deforestation will happen and the environment will get more humid and wet. Sloths will have less thick fur to be able to get used to the heat. They will develop stronger and thicker claws to be able to grip on thin branches and trees. They may begin traveling at night to be able to save more energy and avoid the strong heat. They will no longer have algae on their backs and won’t need it as much due to the environment becoming less green.
