The arapaima, pirarucu, or paiche is any large species of bonytongue in the genus Arapaima native to the Amazon and Essequibo basins of South America. Arapaima is the type genus of the subfamily Arapaiminae within the family Osteoglossidae. The Arapaima is a fish that lives in the Amazon rainforest. It grows up to ten feet long and has no teeth it just sucks its prey in. So when climate change happens and our oceans and rivers recede they will go extinct due to a lack of food. So what I think will change is they will grow legs and become herbivores that can live on land and in water. Arapaima grow up to 10 feet and 400 pounds so through the changes they may decrease in size. To make it easier to move around and be able to escape predators.
