Due to climate change, many animals have to go through changes in order to live through higher temperatures. As most of the rainforest is being burned down and destroying the animals' habitats, both these threats pose a serious risk of the survival of rainforest animals. But in order to survive they will need to go through changes. One vertebrae in the rainforest is the Boa constrictor. This reptile may have to undergo many changes t0 survive the higher temperatures. Warmer temperatures may cause the boa to change its thermoregulation patterns because it’s a cold blooded animal, and may change its hunting pattern: for instance, the animal may become nocturnal in order to avoid the heat. The Boa may undergo physiological changes such as increased water conservation and heat tolerance. The Boa may move to cooler or more humid areas, such as higher elevation or near water sources.
