The toco the most popular types of toucans. It is known for its bright colored bill and long black body. When a toucan lays eggs, it lays them in a tree cavity to protect them from predators. The toco is a frugirove (eats fruit). It also eats insects and nuts. A beak is crucial to the toucans' eating process because it allows them to peel fruit and crack nut shells. The toco’s long tail helps it fly high in the air for long periods of time. My second drawing depicts the toucan, but with helpful adaptations to help it survive in the savanna. For example, its nest is hidden under a shrub for protection since there are not enough trees. Its beak is long and pointed to help dig to find worms and bugs. My drawing also depicts the toucan’s legs to be longer to help it run and dig.
