The Proboscis Monkey is a species of monkey that lives in the Borneo Jungle. The monkey usually eats leaves, unripe fruits, and seeds. The monkey also stays near the island's rivers, and swamps. The jungles are experiencing deforestation making the monkey endangered. The monkey's most notable feature is its distinctive nose, which they use to attract mates. Another distinctive feature of the Proboscis monkey is that they are very large, and the males can grow up to be 50 pounds. The adult monkeys have light brown fur with some red accents. The monkey’s future habitat will be destroyed around 2145, because in 1978 around 30% of the forest was already destroyed. In the future my animal will not have its claws and stay on the ground because there are less trees.
