The Clouded Leopard (Neofelis nebulosa) is a mammal that is part of the felidae family, which contains all wild cats. The clouded leopard inhabits a few coastal rainforests off the coast of south east asia, but they also live in more inland rainforests. The males, on average, weigh forty-four to fifty-five pounds, while the females weigh twenty-two to thirty pounds. They have short legs, long tails, sharp claws, all of which help them climb and hunt. Their camouflage, brown or yellow-gray fur, irregular dark stripes, spots, and blotches help them hide in bushes and trees. In the future the lowland rainforests off the coast of south east asia flood and the clouded leopard has to adapt to survive. They develop flat and webbed paws, so they can swim easily. Also they gain a darker coat with a light undercoat around their stomach for camouflage when swimming and hunting for fish.
