The Ring-tailed Lemur can be found in southern Madagascar. They have the ability to climb trees, but prefer staying on the ground because it provides shelter and open land to sunbathe on. Lemurs prefer living in habitats with a mix of dense and thorny vegetation. Unfortunately with a tail that is so unique, these lemurs do not have prehensile tails. This means that they are unable to pick things up with it. Over time, since southern Madagascar is generally dry, the land will go from beautiful forests to dry deserts. Instead of being ring-tailed lemurs, there will be sun lemurs because they will gain skills to prevent them from being sunburnt. For instance, they will roll in mud, although it would be hard to tell because their fur will be brown for camouflage. Finally, their tails will be prehensile, so that they can move rocks to get to their food.
