Green Iguanas have soft scales that can be green, orange or brown. They eat plants and have claws for climbing. In the future, iguanas will adapt by growing spikes on their tails, a longer tongue, will adapt to eat bugs and plants and are tan in color. The spikes on their tails will help them grip in their new desert environment. The iguana’s longer tongue will help it catch flies and other bugs easier. They are now tan to blend in with the sand and other desert environments in their new habitat. The green iguana will become nocturnal and will now have night vision. It’s eyes will get moved up more towards the ears and to the side of the head. This will let it see forward and sideways. The iguana also now has scales that are harder and rougher to protect the animal from weather, sand storms, and predators.
