The giant river otter lives in a tropical rainforest in South America. It has sleek black fur with white splotches. They have very flexible long bodies and can grow to be 6 feet long. When they swim, they tuck their front feet to their chest and love to dive in water and slide in snow. They are social and will defend their young at all costs. They can hold their breath for 8 minutes.
I think that the rainforest will become a dry savanna with barely any trees. It will have light colored fur to keep the otter cool and a smaller body to release heat. It will have a tail for balance and retractable claws to give it an easier grip when it runs. It will have a good sense of smell and hearing to escape from predators. My animal will survive with these adaptations.
