The brown-throated sloth’s present habitat is the tropical rainforest of Central America. They consume leaves, twigs, and fruit while living in the canopy of the forests. The future habitat of the brown-throated sloth may be the dry forests. I think this because the global temperatures are rising which would lead to droughts, making the surrounding environment dry. An adaptation that may happen to my animal due to its predicted environment is the color of the fur may become lighter to better blend in with the dry climate, and the fur may become shorter to reduce heat retention.
