I chose the Amazonian glass frog as my rainforest animal because I believe it will change a lot in the next 100 years due to climate change.
Right now, glass frogs live in a warm and wet rainforest. Their skin is almost see-through, which helps them hide from predators. They have small pupils because they are used to sunny days, and their bodies are soft and delicate.
In the future, the glass frog’s skin might become darker and tougher to blend into the rougher environment. With less water, they may develop longer legs and bigger toe pads to help them jump higher. They might also become fully nocturnal, making their eyes grow larger with big pupils to see better. They will also develop grip and non webbed feet to climb. I also predict they might develop a longer tong and a water pouch under their mouth to store water.
