The green anaconda thrives in the tropical rainforest with all of its needs provided. For example, there is a large food supply for the anaconda and a plethora of places to hide while escaping from predators or trying to catch prey. This species uses their dark green and brown skin to camouflage with its surroundings when hunting. On the other hand, when in danger, they either burrow into the mud, or get to a puddle of water, making it very necessary for green anacondas to live in wet environments like the tropical rainforest. However, with the help of climate change, I predict that, in the future, there will be less precipitation in the area causing more droughts and altered vegetation, which will change the necessary adaptations for anacondas to survive and reproduce. This will all lead to forest becoming more like a savannah and the endangerment of the anacondas’ lives.
