Jaguars in the present are living vertebrates in a tropical rainforest called Amazon basin. The food they eat right now is medium size animals. Due to climate change the Earth has become hotter and drier. In the tropical rainforest, there is going to be less rainfall and more drought conditions. Because of these conditions the Jaguarax have to adapt in order to survive. First the Jaguarax may get slimmer because of the lack of prey. It may have longer legs since it would have to travel a longer distance to find food. The fur of Jaguarax’s may become lighter with less spots since the rainforest would be dry and it wouldn't need to camouflage as much. The head and teeth could also become smaller because of the lack of prey. The Jaguarax may also move closer to the oceans in order to survive. Climate change will have impacts on them.
