Currently leopards are large and muscular, and they are not not fast like a cheetah. They usually hide in a tree and jump down. This is called the lie and wait hunting method. Due to changing temperatures, their habitat may become more spacious and open, which means that they will live in a savannah instead of a tropical rainforest. They will have to adapt to the open space, so they may need to become faster to chase and catch their prey. In 1,000 years I believe that they will become thinner and faster like a cheetah. Their tree climbing adaptation may not be as important. This is why I think leopards are going to become longer and thinner.
