Future Cock-of-the-Rock

The cock-of-the-rock is a colorful bird. Found in the rainforest, this bird likes mountain terrain best. Its bright color makes it more attractive and makes it hunted more by rainforest creatures. It pollinates like a bee, because it doesn’t digest the seeds of its fruity meals, and the seeds scatter. In the future, the bird will maybe be reddish-brown, and have webbed feet for swimming. Maybe the rainforest will turn into a dry savanna, with flooding periods, and it will have both high and low temperatures. The cock-of-the-rock’s feathers will be waterproof, but light. It will eat something other than just fruit because there will be less fruit in the savanna. The weather will be dry, which makes more rain come into the air, so there’ll be a rainy season. The cock-of-the-rock will also have a defense instinct. It’s defenseless, but these things will help it survive.
