The armadillo of Central and South America lives approximately 12-15 years. Armadillos are mainly harmless, but they do carry diseases. They are mainly prey, coyotes, bobcats, and alligators, but vehicles are the biggest threat to armadillos. Armadillos eat insects and invertebrates. They eat fruit, eggs, and carrion too. Armadillos are mostly nocturnal. they sleep in their burrows during the day. When the rainforest becomes a savanna/desert the armadillo will become bigger and heavier so they can hunt. They will grow horns for ramming and claws for eating its prey. It will have more protective armor that is brown for camouflage. Its diet will be animals like bobcats and wolves. It will have strong arms and legs for swimming, as the world’s oceans are rising, and its habitat might be underwater. Its eyes will be very powerful so it can hunt at night.
