The green tree python lives in the rain forest of New Guinea. They can wrap their bodies around their prey to suffocate them. They are also harmless to humans. They eat food like lizards, birds, and other reptiles. Green tree pythons hunt and live in trees. They are also not too rare.
In the future, these snakes might develop red stripes for defense, legs for running, fangs for injecting venom, and a yellow body for camouflage. Their eyesight might also be better. Since the trees of the rainforest are being cut down, this habitat will likely turn into a desert. Therefore the green tree python will need to live on land and hunt/eat cacti, scorpions, and spiders. They will also adapt to living in their new habitat by carving out cactuses for their homes.
